    Vancouver designer John Fluevog creates shoe to honour kidney donor

    Vancouver shoe designer John Fluevog is understood world wide for his distinctive and vibrant footwear.

    Now he has created one other shoe, a really private tribute to a longtime buddy who will endlessly be part of his story.

    In 2025, Fluevog’s decades-long battle with polycystic kidney illness got here to a head and he realized he would wish both dialysis or a transplant.

    “My mind went, ‘Oh, I had no concept. Do you purchase this stuff? The place do you get them?’” Fluevog mentioned, laughing.

    Fluevog mentioned his spouse broke down in tears when Carmichael revealed her determination and he mentioned he couldn’t consider it.
