United States forces within the Caribbean Sea have seized one other sanctioned oil tanker that the Trump administration says is linked to Venezuela, as a part of broader US efforts to exert management over the South American nationâs oil sector.
It’s the sixth tanker seized, coming as Venezuelan opposition chief MarĂa Corina Machado prepares to satisfy President Donald Trump.
The US says it’s concentrating on what it describes as Venezuelaâs âshadow fleetâ â ships that use misleading practices to hide their position in transporting sanctioned oil.
The Trump administration has been in search of to curb Venezuelaâs oil exports whereas working with the interim authorities to regain management over oil gross sales.
