Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has gained re-election with a landslide victory, extending his rule right into a fifth decade. The electoral fee stated the 81-year-old chief gained with 71 % of the vote. His foremost challenger, opposition chief Bobi Wine, obtained 24 %. Wine had accused authorities of ‘rigging’ the election, which was held below heavy safety presence and web blackouts. Museveni has been in energy for 40 years.
