Nigeria World Automotive theft “Hub” | Firstpost Africa
Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu ordered a coordinated effort by Nigerian safety and legislation enforcement companies to accentuate their crackdown on cybercriminals and transnational automobile theft rings working within the nation. The President, in a press release issued on September 23, directed legislation enforcement companies to focus on people concerned within the possession and trafficking of stolen automobiles. President Tinubu’s order comes days after Nigeria’s Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee returned 53 automobiles to the Canadian Police that have been allegedly stolen by Nigerian nationals. The President affirmed that Nigeria is neither a vacation spot for stolen automobiles nor a haven for illicit wealth from overseas nations.
