BOZEMAN — The Museum of the Rockies at Montana State College will invite aspiring astronauts and stargazers of all ages to a day of celestial exploration throughout its Nationwide House Day Celebration on Saturday, April 25. The occasion will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and provide immersive actions designed to spark curiosity concerning the universe.
The celebration options STEM-themed actions, crafts, and a rotation of immersive experiences within the Taylor Planetarium. Planetarium showings embrace “Flight Adventures” at 11 a.m., “Einstein’s Gravity Playlist” at midday, “Ahead to the Moon” at 1 p.m. and “Galileo: Energy of the Telescope” at 2 p.m.
House-themed talks will function Addie Zumwalt, a member of MSU’s House Public Outreach Group, at 10:30 a.m.; Andrea Astorga, House Public Outreach Group member, at 11:30 a.m.; Chantanelle Nava, assistant professor of physics and astronomy on the College of Montana, at 12:30 p.m.; and EricLoberg, program supervisor of the Taylor Planetarium, at 1:30 p.m.
The celebration is hosted in partnership with MSU’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Optics and Photonics Society and Space Public Outreach Team.
