Former Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn joined Morning Joe to announce his run for Congress in Maryland’s third Congressional District, throwing his hat in a crowded Democratic major to switch retiring Democratic Rep. John Sarbanes. Dunn, who protected the U.S. Capitol on January 6, stated the occasion uncovered “how weak and fragile [democracy] is,” including, “we’re one election away from the extinction of democracy as we all know it.”
