Re: “King County approves use of e-bikes on regional trails” [June 10, Local News]:
The transfer to permit electrical scooters and bikes on King County’s paved trails, together with the Burke-Gilman Path, is one other blow to pedestrians.
These trails as soon as supplied a secure place for individuals, notably older adults and households with younger youngsters, to stroll and get train. That started to erode when bicycles stopped following the velocity limits. I’ve witnessed accidents between cyclists and pedestrians. Now we add motorized automobiles to the combo to make it extra harmful. If these trails are an essential commuting choice, create a separate parallel path to make it secure for each riders and pedestrians.
Spend my tax {dollars} to make a secure expertise for everybody!
