BEIJING: China has urged its residents in Israel to depart “as quickly as attainable”, as tensions between Israel and Lebanon’s Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah escalate.
“At present, the scenario alongside the Israel-Lebanon border is extraordinarily tense, with frequent navy conflicts,” China’s embassy in Israel stated in an announcement on Sunday (Sep 22).
“The safety scenario in Israel stays extreme, advanced, and unpredictable,” the assertion added.
The embassy urged Chinese language residents in Israel to “return dwelling or relocate to safer areas as quickly as attainable”.
