President Joe Biden delivered remarks on Saturday night after former President Donald Trump was injured and rushed offstage when gunshots were fired at his political rally.
“There isn’t any place in America for this sort of violence,” Biden stated in Rehoboth Seashore, Delaware.
“It is sick,” Biden stated. “It is sick.”
“It is one of many causes we’ve got to unite this nation,” the president stated. “We can not enable for this to be occurring. We can’t be like this. We can not condone this.”
Biden stated he hoped to talk with Trump shortly, including, “apparently he is been doing properly.”
Trump’s marketing campaign stated shortly after the incident that he’s “wonderful and is being checked out at an area medical facility.” Trump was seen with blood on his face and ear as he was evacuated by Secret Service.
The U.S. Secret Service stated, “the previous President is protected,” and that there’s an energetic investigation into the obvious taking pictures.
In a written assertion earlier Saturday night, Biden, who’s operating for reelection in opposition to Trump, stated that he was glad to listen to Trump is “protected and doing properly.”

“I am praying for him and his household and for all those that had been on the rally, as we await additional info,” Biden stated within the assertion.
“There isn’t any place for this sort of violence in America. We should unite as one nation to sentence it,” the president stated.
The assertion and Biden’s remarks adopted an outpouring of assist for Trump from his political allies and opponents alike, who roundly condemned political violence in all types.
Each of Trump’s presidential predecessors, Barack Obama and George W. Bush, had already shared their reduction that Trump appeared to not be significantly injured.
