George Alagiah, one of many BBC’s longest-serving and most revered journalists, has died at 67, 9 years after being identified with most cancers.
A press release from his agent stated he “died peacefully at the moment, surrounded by his household and family members”.
“George was deeply cherished by everyone who knew him, whether or not it was a pal, a colleague or a member of the general public.
George was a fixture on British TV information for greater than three many years, presenting the BBC Information at Six for the previous 20 years.
