To the editor: In 2011, neuroscientist Tali Sharot printed her e-book, “The Optimism Bias,” during which she identified that 80% of the folks in her examine confirmed a bias towards being optimistic. That is good in some ways, however it may result in not recognizing and subsequently failing to behave in opposition to threats. (“Election denial returns as focus with Vance’s ‘non-answer,’ new Trump indictment details,” Oct. 6)
I discover that we aren’t paying sufficient consideration to threats to the local weather and, extra instantly, the election.
Some organizations are scheming to seat Donald Trump even when he loses. The schemes embody casting doubt by saying elections aren’t safe; selectively purging voter registrations; encouraging people to problem voter eligibility; and inspiring election officers to not certify election outcomes, which may outcome within the U.S. Supreme Courtroom deciding the winner.
If the choice goes to the Supreme Courtroom, I’m not assured in getting an neutral ruling. We must always all pause and ensure we aren’t overly optimistic about our future.

To the editor: In 2020, Trump was president. He was in charge of all of the legislation enforcement and intelligence businesses of the federal authorities.
How may Democrats have rigged the election except Trump and his cohorts had been incompetent, bumbling idiots?

To the editor: Would you could have somebody to dinner together with your kids, your pals, your loved ones, who knowingly makes up tales to disparage minorities (“they’re bringing crime, they’re rapists”)? Takes credit score for issues he didn’t do ($35 insulin)? Is an accused serial sexual predator (E. Jean Carroll, Jessica Leeds and others)? Brags about assaulting girls (“if you’re a star, they allow you to do it”)? Defrauds folks (Trump College)? Is a convicted felon (34 counts in New York)?
In all probability not. And but, some wish to have him characterize our nation on the world stage. They need him to be president, once more.
He has proven us he doesn’t imagine within the rule of legislation, doesn’t imagine within the peaceable switch of energy and doesn’t imagine in democracy, and he has known as for suspending the Structure. How is it even conceivable that he’s a presidential candidate? He tried to overthrow our election.
He has advised us he desires to be a dictator for a day. Isn’t that what the American Revolution was about? Eliminating a king?
