Russia has formally confirmed it will not be extending the Black Sea grain export deal, following an assault on Kerch bridge which hyperlinks the occupied Crimean peninsula with Russia.
The deal, brokered by the UN and Turkey final July, was as a consequence of expire as we speak (Monday 17 July).
Ukraine is among the world’s largest exporters of sunflower, maize, wheat and barley. After Russia invaded the nation in February 2022, Ukraine’s ports have been blockaded sending international meals costs hovering.
For the reason that grain deal was signed, world meals costs have decreased by some 20%.
