YAMAGUCHI, Sep 23 (News On Japan) –
A gaggle of Humboldt penguins at Tokuyama Zoo in Yamaguchi Prefecture has captured individuals’s hearts, as they chase a butterfly that had unintentionally flown into their pool enclosure.
The playful scene, caught on video by a zookeeper, has since gone viral, displaying the penguins as they darted backwards and forwards between land and water in pursuit of the insect.
The zookeeper defined that the penguins’ curiosity within the butterfly is probably going attributable to their intuition to chase fast-moving objects, very like they do within the wild when looking fish. Although it might appear to be a playful interplay, the penguins’ conduct displays their pure looking tendencies, as they’re accustomed to catching fish like horse mackerel and sardines.
