The oceans have hit their hottest ever recorded temperature as they absorb heat from local weather change.
The typical each day world sea floor temperature beat a 2016 report this week, in line with the EU’s local weather change service Copernicus.
It reached 20.96C. That is far above the common for this time of 12 months.
