College students from Northern Manitoba returned to Winnipeg at the moment after a visit to the Dominican Republic to assist a household construct a house.
The group consisted of 22-volunteers from three Northern First Nations.
Organizers from the journey say going to the Dominican helped train the scholars resilience, generosity, and helped set up cross-cultural connection.
Former Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak chief Sheila North was one of many chaperones who accompanied the group of youths, she was extraordinarily pleased with how onerous all the scholars labored.
“I wished our younger folks from the North particularly, to expertise what it’s prefer to go to a different nation,” stated North. “See the similarities and the variations of our communities, after which have a possibility to offer again.”
