Zach Churchill has introduced his resignation as chief of the Nova Scotia Liberal Get together.
Churchill made the announcement immediately on the Liberal caucus workplace in Halifax, saying he can be changed on an interim foundation by Derek Mombourquette.
The announcement follows yesterday’s recount within the district of Yarmouth, which saw Churchill lose his seat to Progressive Conservative candidate Nick Hilton by 16 votes.
The Liberals have been lowered to only two seats within the Nov. twenty sixth provincial election, shedding 12 of the 14 seats they held going into the marketing campaign.

Progressive Conservative Premier Tim Houston led his occasion to win a second consecutive majority authorities, profitable 43 of the legislature’s 55 seats.
The New Democrats, led by Claudia Chender, have been elevated to official Opposition standing with 9 seats, and one Impartial candidate was re-elected.
