After being shut for greater than a decade, Yemen’s nationwide museum has reopened for 2 weeks as a part of a pilot mission.
Authorities are hoping to generate public curiosity by displaying artefacts recovered from smugglers.
The museum closed in 2012 after an rebellion in opposition to then-President Ali Abdullah Saleh – and has remained closed through the struggle.
However the museum workers hopes the exhibit will generate sufficient cash to reopen completely.
