British Paralympic sprinter John McFall has been chosen as the primary disabled astronaut by the European Area Company.
McFall’s leg was amputated after a bike crash when he was 19. He turned knowledgeable athlete and represented the UK on the 2008 Paralympics in Beijing.
The announcement doesn’t imply McFall is assured to enter orbit, however he will likely be a part of a feasibility programme to see if that may be attainable.
