Nathan Day was up early serving to his son prepare for work when he acquired a message from a neighbor asking him to save lots of her grandchildren from the rising floodwaters.
Day, a former coal miner who lives in Hindman, Knott County, stated he was unaware of what was taking place within the area till he acquired the message saying the youngsters wanted assist getting out of their home.
