Vira + Buddies will current “Candy Thriller” on the OPERA America Nationwide Opera Heart on April 4, 2025.
The showcase will honor the songs of Victor Herbert and ladies dramatists from the 1910s and Nineteen Twenties. Performers embrace contralto Vira Slywotzky, tenor Todd Wilander, and pianist David Sytkowski.
Slywotzky has carried out with such firms as Seattle Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Chelsea Opera, Heart for Up to date Opera, Sarasota Opera and Boston Midsummer Opera. She is among the many founding members of the Victor Herbert Renaissance Mission LIVE and has carried out eight roles by Herbert, in addition to a number of of his songs in live performance.
In the meantime, Wilander has carried out over 80 opera roles throughout the U.S. and 16 different international locations.
