A video exhibiting cops breaking apart a struggle between a Black teenager and a White teenager at a New Jersey mall has prompted outrage over the police response.
New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy stated Wednesday that the “look of what’s racially disparate remedy is deeply, deeply disturbing.”
The Bridgewater Township Police Division stated in a Fb submit that they know video of the incident has upset members of the group. They’ve requested the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Workplace to research the incident.
“We acknowledge that this video has made members of our group upset and are calling for an inside affairs investigation,” the division wrote.
