Venezuela’s opposition claims victory within the presidential election, stating that Edmundo Gonzalez secured a landslide win in July. Gonzalez changed Maria Corina Machado on the poll after she was barred by the highest courtroom. Regardless of her disqualification, Machado continues to make waves in Caracas, mobilizing crowds and difficult the federal government. Opposition leaders have accused President Nicolas Maduro of fraud, fueling tensions throughout the nation.
