Guantanamo Bay inmate Ridah Bin Saleh al-Yazidi has been repatriated to Tunisia, the US Division of Protection says.
He was discovered eligible for switch from the detention facility after a “rigorous interagency overview course of”, a press assertion mentioned.
The Pentagon didn’t say if Mr Yazidi had accepted any guilt.
Since 2002, the Guantanamo Bay detention facility has been used to carry what the US describes as captured illegal combatants throughout America’s “warfare on terror”.
The camp is a part of a US naval base advanced in south-eastern Cuba.
The Pentagon statement mentioned 26 detainees remained at Guantanamo Bay, of whom 14 have been eligible for switch.
