The US Congress has licensed Donald Trump’s victory within the 2024 presidential election.
His defeated opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris oversaw proceedings and formally declared him the winner.
Trump obtained 312 electoral faculty votes and Harris 226.
Safety was tight across the Capitol.
In 2021, supporters of Donald Trump stormed the Capitol in a bid to disrupt the method, after he misplaced that yr’s election to Joe Biden.
Trump’s inauguration will happen in Washington on January 20.
