American inventive swimmer Anita Alvarez was rescued from the underside of the pool by her coach after fainting on the World Aquatics Championships.
The 25-year-old was not respiratory and had sunk after finishing her routine within the solo free closing in Budapest.
Her coach, Andrea Fuentes, pulled Alvarez to the floor earlier than she was taken away on a stretcher.
The US swim crew later launched a press release saying Alvarez “feels good now”.
