    China and Russia tabled the draft which acquired 4 votes in favour, 9 in opposition to and two abstentions.

    United States Deputy Consultant Dorothy Shea was happy that the Council rejected what she referred to as “this last-ditch effort by the Russian Federation and China”, calling the textual content “a hole effort to alleviate Iran of any accountability for its continued vital non-performance of its nuclear commitments.”

    Russia’s Deputy Everlasting Consultant Dmitry Polyanskiy addressed nations who refused to assist the draft.
