The United Nations says it’s alarmed by “unacceptable situations” set by the Syrian authorities for assist vehicles to cross the border from Turkey.
The Bab al-Hawa crossing has been closed since Monday. It’s one among three border crossings that channel nearly all of UN deliveries to Syria.
However the UN Safety Council has didn’t renew authorisation to proceed delivering assist provides to rebel-held areas.
This immediately impacts 4 million Syrians, and plenty of hospitals are struggling to function due to assist shortages.
