The counter-offensive by Ukrainian troops in opposition to Russia, now getting into its second month, has been met with fierce resistance – in addition to criticism from inside Ukraine that not sufficient progress is being made.
It has been an especially expensive operation, however many consultants say that the nation wants extra time to organize for a strategic breakthrough.
Some troopers and observers are beginning to surprise if a breakthrough is feasible, or whether or not Russia’s defensive traces, constructed up and heavily-reinforced over the winter months, are merely an excessive amount of of a barrier.
