Liz Truss has dramatically resigned as prime minister after simply 45 days within the job.
Conservative MPs urged Ms Truss to go after her authorities was engulfed by political turmoil, following the ditching of most of her financial insurance policies.
Her resignation comes after a key minister stop and Tory MPs rebelled in a chaotic parliamentary vote.
Ms Truss was elected by the Tory membership in September, however she misplaced authority after a sequence of U-turns.
