OVER a thousand tons of sand has been used to regenerate two Mar Menor seashores over the winter.
Cartagena Metropolis Council has completed work over at Los Nietos and La Gola in addition to eradicating reeds and clearing up vegetation in varied areas.
Sand that accrued on the shore has been extracted in a course of often known as sand bundling.

It was moved to a dry space of the focused seashore, the place it was oxygenated earlier than being redistributed to regain the seashore’s earlier measurement.

Coastal councillor, Gonzalo Lopez, stated “Sand bundling helps to keep up the standard of the shoreline and has confirmed to be very helpful in stopping the formation of dry land and stopping sludge increase.”
