“What would occur if 1000’s of Gazans, most of them refugees, tried to peacefully cross the fence that separates them from their ancestral lands?” That was Ahmed Abu Artema’s Fb assertion, the rallying cry that launched the “Nice March of Return” protests in 2018.
Annoyed with the restrictions, partitions and borders that encompass Gaza, the poet determined to advocate for change. Ahmed wished to interrupt the greater than 10-year-old siege in Gaza by means of non-violent means with Palestinians from all factions.
Ahmed desires of a world with no borders. He desires to be free to go away the Gaza Strip. The marches he organises have been a cry for assist .”Our hardships induced this scream for all times. The March of Return is a scream for all times in order that we could go away the partitions of our jail.”
