Former Premier Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted from in a navy coup in 2006, has returned to Thailand after 15 years of self-imposed exile. Thai police took Thaksin into custody shortly after his arrival in Bangkok, based on state-run tv channel MCOT. These coincide with a vote for prime minister later Tuesday.
