SUMMERVILLE, S.C. (WCSC) — Summerville Metropolis Council delayed a vote on creating a brand new out of doors leisure district that might enable open-container alcohol in downtown.
Council members took problem with the proposed boundaries for the district. They’re now discussing creating a brand new boundary map.
The ordinance would enable open-container alcohol inside a pre-set portion of downtown Summerville.
Some council members praised the ordinance, whereas others raised points with security and high quality of life issues.
