Sudan’s paramilitary group, the Fast Assist Forces (RSF), mentioned it’s committing to a 24-hour ceasefire to permit secure passage of civilians and for humanitarian assist.
In a press release on Tuesday, the top of RSF mentioned the deal had been reached following a dialog with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and “different pleasant nations”.
Sudan’s military has denied the claims by RSF rivals that an settlement had been reached, saying they have been “not conscious of any coordination with the mediators”.
