We’re deeply saddened by the passing of Congressman Raúl Grijalva, a distinguished College of Arizona alumnus and revered chief. A gracious and type man, he was a steadfast champion of the college’s land-grant mission, and a tireless public servant devoted to our group, state and nation.
Congressman Grijalva’s legacy is a testomony to what it means to be a Wildcat for Life, leaving an indelible mark on Arizona and past, and galvanizing others to guide with objective and repair. This consists of his niece, Adriana Grijalva, the present president of the Related College students of the College of Arizona, who embodies his ardour for advocacy as a pupil and servant chief.
Our ideas are along with his household, buddies and all these whose lives he touched. His influence will endure for generations, shaping leaders, communities and the way forward for public service.
