MONROE, La. (KNOE) – The Louisiana Legislature created the State Parks Fee of Louisiana on July 13, 1934.
It will ultimately grow to be the Louisiana Workplace of State Parks, a part of the Division of Tradition, Recreation and Tourism. There have been initially solely three state parks masking 298 acres.
Right now, the workplace operates 21 state parks, 15 historic websites and 45 thousand acres of preservation space. One and three-quarter million folks go to Louisiana’s state parks every year.
