Star Trek: Strange New Worlds has confirmed that it could possibly boldly go the place no present has gone earlier than with nice success. The Paramount+ sequence has tackled a fairy story, a musical, a partly animated crossover with Lower Decks, a homicide thriller, and others. And in Season 4, as introduced at San Diego Comic-Con, there can be a puppet episode!

And so when TV Insider spoke with Paul Wesley, who performs Kirk (not but a captain), we needed to ask if he’s going to be within the puppet episode.

“I’m not in that episode, sadly, so I can’t communicate to it. However I’ve seen some stuff and it’s simply pure brilliance,” he mentioned. “I’m jealous that I’m not in it truly.”

Wesley did have enjoyable with Season 3’s homicide thriller episode, “A Space Adventure Hour,” enjoying, within the holodeck simulation, the actor who stars because the captain on The Last Frontier, a tackle the unique Star Trek.

“What I like about Unusual New Worlds is that each single episode is its personal film. It’s an episodic sequence with serialized components, however on the finish of the day, you’ll be able to truly tune in, and every episode is a totally completely different theme. It’s virtually like every little thing is clearly an area journey, however in a bizarre manner, you’re exploring so many alternative genres,” he mentioned.

For his character, Maxwell Saint, “I needed to present the followers slightly little bit of a deal with by doing the type of, I suppose, for lack of a greater phrase, satirical popular culture model of William Shatner‘s Kirk,” Wesley shared. “Clearly, it’s exaggerated, it’s enjoyable, it’s meant to be playful, however it was a chance for me to do this in order that followers who love The Original Series can really feel that nostalgia as a result of my strategy to Kirk once I first received this function was to create my very own model of Kirk that didn’t have any of the type of mimicking copycat model of what William Shatner did. And this was a terrific alternative to do the alternative of that, which was type of attempt to emulate slightly little bit of his efficiency within the ’60s, however with a comedic twist.”

What are you hoping to see from the puppet episode? Tell us within the feedback part beneath.
