ECONOMYNEXT – A delegation from CEAT, an RPG India firm, has met with Sri Lanka’s Export Improvement Board to debate increasing CEAT’s presence within the island by diversifying its product portfolio within the rubber sector.
CEAT CEO Arnab Banerjee met EDB chairman Mangala Wijesinghe, lately on the EDB Head Workplace in Colombo.
“The delegation expressed curiosity in increasing CEAT’s presence in Sri Lanka by diversifying its product portfolio within the rubber sector,” EDB stated.
“Highlighting the corporate’s latest acquisition, Banerjee elaborated on the CAMSO model, which is produced in Sri Lanka beneath RPG’s possession.”
Banerjee supplied an outline of RPG’s operations throughout numerous sectors, together with agriculture, engineering, and rubber.
Wijesinghe congratulated the group on their growth initiatives and “underscored extra funding alternatives in Sri Lanka, notably in sectors reminiscent of prescription drugs, ICT, agriculture, and logistics”.
Final month France-based Michelin stated it was promoting two crops in Sri Lanka that made bias tyres and tracks for compact building tools to India’s CEAT group.
