WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (KKTV) – A Divide, Colorado native was chosen to go to house, the Metropolis of Woodland Park Authorities mentioned on Wednesday.
32-year-old Nichole Ayers graduated from Woodland Park Excessive College and the U.S. Air Pressure Academy. NASA mentioned Ayres is one among few girls flying the F-22, and in 2019, she led the first-ever all-woman formation of the plane in fight.
The Metropolis mentioned Ayers was one among 10 astronaut candidates chosen by NASA from a pool of 12,000 candidates.
Ayres is a significant with the U.S. Air Pressure, and the Metropolis mentioned she was chosen alongside three different astronauts to journey to the worldwide house station on March 12 as part of the Area-X Crew-10 Mission.
