Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly, alongside together with his spouse Dona Ganguly and daughter Sana Ganguly, joined a candlelight protest in Kolkata, demanding justice for the rape and homicide of a trainee physician at RG Kar Medical School. Dona Ganguly emphasised the necessity for a safer society, whereas Sana expressed deep concern over the continued violence in opposition to girls, calling for justice and an finish to such crimes. The protest was organized by Dona Ganguly’s dance college, Diksha Manjari. Ganguly and his daughter lit candles on the protest website.
