MUSCAT: The Ministry of Tradition, Sports activities and Youth, represented by the Literary Discussion board, on Tuesday organised a seminar titled ‘The Omani Lady in Overseas Sources.’
The occasion aimed to focus on the presence and contributions of the Omani lady by the ages as documented in overseas sources, alongside showcasing her function in constructing civilisation and framing her achievements in varied fields.
On the sidelines of the seminar, an artwork exhibition was held, documenting the picture of the Omani lady by the data of travellers and overseas sources, organised by the Cultural Membership.
The exhibition options 20 artworks, starting from images to drawings derived from the impressions of travellers, photographers and guests who documented life in Oman throughout its varied phases. In these works, the Omani lady is introduced as an inventive icon representing each day social life and the main points of Omani society. – ONA
