Emergency has been declared for the Russian area of Krasnodar Krai.
That is after two ships ran aground in stormy climate on December fifteenth, spilling 1000’s of tonnes of oil into the Black Sea.
Volunteers are working to avoid wasting sea life, in a clean-up that is more likely to proceed for months.
