Viktor Sokolov, commander of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in Crimea, has been proven attending a gathering a day after Ukrainian particular forces claimed he died in a barrage of missiles.
In video and images launched by the Russian defence ministry and proven on state tv on Tuesday, Sokolov is seen collaborating in a video convention with Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu and different prime admirals and armed forces chiefs.
Ukraine’s particular forces mentioned on Monday that Sokolov was killed within the Russian-annexed peninsula together with 33 different officers in a missile assault on the headquarters of Russia’s Black Sea Fleet within the port of Sevastopol.
Russia has suffered a string of assaults on the strategically essential port of Sevastopol in latest months.
