    The Kremlin expects Russia and Ukraine to debate the listing of situations for a ceasefire in the war in Ukraine subsequent week in Istanbul, its spokesman stated on Friday, praising the U.S. position in mediating the talks.

    Russia has proposed holding the second spherical of talks with Ukraine in Istanbul on June 2. Nevertheless, Ukraine desires to see Russia’s proposals for a peace deal earlier than it sends a delegation to Turkiye, Overseas Minister Andrii Sybiha stated on Friday.

    Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated the Russian delegation can be touring to Istanbul and can be prepared for talks with Ukraine on Monday morning.

    “In the mean time, everybody is targeted on the direct Russia-Ukraine negotiations. A listing of situations for a short lived truce is being developed,” Peskov informed reporters. He stated the small print of the memorandum won’t be revealed.

    Reuters reported earlier this week that Putin’s situations for ending the conflict in Ukraine embrace a requirement that Western leaders pledge in writing to cease enlarging NATO eastwards.

    U.S. President Donald Trump’s envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated earlier on Friday that Russia’s concern over the eastward enlargement of NATO was honest and america didn’t need to see Ukraine within the U.S.-led army alliance.

    Commenting on Kellogg’s assertion, Peskov stated that Putin has been persistently conveying Russia’s place on the inadmissibility of NATO’s eastward growth.

    “We’re happy that these explanations by the president are understood, together with in Washington. And, after all, that is fairly interesting to us when it comes to the mediating position that Washington continues to play,” Peskov stated.

    Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 after eight years of combating in jap Ukraine between Russian-backed separatists and Ukrainian troops.
