The Rams on Tuesday made a number of roster strikes in preparation for Monday night time’s NFC wild-card game in opposition to the Minnesota Vikings.
Veteran security John Johnson III was designated to return from injured reserve, and operating again Royce Freeman was signed to assist make up for the lack of Blake Corum, who was positioned on injured reserve.
Johnson, an eighth-year professional, has been sidelined since struggling a shoulder damage within the second sport of the season in opposition to the Arizona Cardinals. Johnson intercepted a move within the Rams’ season-opening defeat at Detroit.
Johnson will add depth to a security group that features Quentin Lake, Kam Curl, Kamren Kinchens and Jaylen McCullough.
Corum, the No. 2 operating again behind Kyren Williams, suffered a fractured forearm throughout the Rams’ loss to defeat by the Seattle Seahawks final Sunday.
Freeman, a six-year veteran, performed for the Rams final season and rushed for 319 yards and two touchdowns in 77 carries. Ronnie Rivers and Cody Schrader are different operating backs on the roster.
