TRAIN passengers in Spain will face a number of days of disruption on Renfe companies after strikes had been introduced by rail unions on Monday.
Unions are indignant about subsequent 12 months’s switch of administration of Catalunya’s native trains to the regional authorities.

One other issue behind the strikes- on routes run by state operator Renfe- is what the unions describe because the ‘covert privatisation’ of the rail sector.
They imagine the state authorities is doing that by means of the creation of a brand new firm managed by logistics agency MSC, the place Renfe will make investments its capital.
The unions stated: “To permit this transition, the deterioration of the general public firm is being allowed by means of strikes like competing for brand new workload hires, hindering the work of salespeople in attracting prospects or blocking the operation of trains as a consequence of inaction by administration centres.”
Works councils at Renfe and rail infrastructure firm Adif say wave strikes will function full-day walkouts on March 17, March 26, and April 1.
There will probably be extra restricted stoppages on March 19, 24, and 28 in addition to April 3 throughout all Renfe companies.
Below Spanish legislation, minimal companies should be present with Renfe proposing as much as 81% for prime velocity companies and 75% for peak companies throughout medium distance and regional routes.
Unions have rejected the suggestion saying they are going to restrict the influence of the strikes.
It now means it’s left as much as the Ministry of Transport to put down the minimal companies this week.
