    Final week Larger Anglia, which dealt with 81.8 million passenger journeys in 2024-25, was named Rail Operator of the 12 months on the Nationwide Transport Awards.

    Larger Anglia joins c2c, Northern, TransPennine Specific, Southeastern, LNER and South Western Railway, that are at present operated by DfT Operator Restricted (DFTO) on behalf of the federal government.

    West Midlands Trains companies will switch again to the state on 1 February, adopted by Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) on 31 Could, with Chiltern Railways and Nice Western Railways companies anticipated to observe, the DfT stated.
