Racist Textual content Messages Instruct Black Individuals to “Choose Cotton” | Firstpost America
Following Donald Trump’s latest election win, Black Individuals throughout the US have reported receiving disturbing racist textual content messages. These messages, some signed “a Trump supporter,” declare recipients have been “chosen” to choose cotton and report back to “the closest plantation.” The messages, which have focused faculty college students and adults in states like Alabama, Georgia, New York, and South Carolina, are actually beneath investigation by the FBI and a number of other lawyer generals. The NAACP and different teams have condemned the messages, warning they replicate a troubling rise in racist rhetoric. Federal authorities are working to hint the origins of those hateful racist texts.
