4 members of the far-right Proud Boys group have been discovered responsible of seditious conspiracy over the 2021 US Capitol riot.
Much less critical than treason, seditious conspiracy is outlined as a plot to overthrow the federal government or use power “to stop, hinder, or delay the execution of any legislation of the US”.
The seditious conspiracy cost alone carries a sentence of as much as 20 years in jail.
