    Tons of of protesters have breached a high-security zone in Baghdad and damaged into Iraq’s parliament constructing.

    The supporters of cleric Muqtada al-Sadr oppose the nomination of a rival candidate for prime minister.

    Mr Sadr’s political alliance gained probably the most seats in final October’s common election, however it isn’t in energy attributable to political impasse following the vote.

    Police reportedly fired tear fuel and water cannons on the protesters and Iraq’s present prime minister, Mustafa al-Kadhimi, known as on crowds to depart the constructing.
